Your Literacy Autobiography
This Study Group will be online.
In this class, we will develop “literacy autobiographies.” Through some readings, brief reflective writing assignments and discussion, we’ll explore our personal histories and experiences with reading.
Class 1: What happens while we are reading? Class 2: How did we learn to read in our first (or second or third) language? Class 3: What are our personal and professional reading experiences/contexts? Class 4: What is the impact of all things digital (audiobooks, screen vs. paper, etc.)?
Instructor Alice Horning is retired from Oakland U where she taught writing and linguistics for more than 30 years.
This study group will meet on Mondays for four weeks beginning on September 20. Preregistration is required via the OLLI website or phone. A link to access the study group will be e-mailed prior to the first session.
