“Compassionate Conversations” Book Study
This Study Group will be online
Do you ever struggle with conversations about controversial or delicate subjects? This 200 page book should provide plenty of stimulating conversation in how to speak and listen from the heart. The three diverse authors have much rich experience to share in this realm, and OLLI facilitator Beth Spencer, MSW, will assist in facilitation.
Among the 20 short chapters are such topics as: the conversation essentials, growing through conflict, hidden biases, talking about social privilege, atonement & forgiveness, and becoming wholehearted. This could be a platform for individuals to begin to heal the many divides within our relationships, community and country.
Instructor Barb Cherem is a skilled professor and facilitator who has led other OLLI groups.
This study group will meet on Fridays for five weeks beginning on October 22. Preregistration is required via the OLLI website or phone. A link to access the study group will be e-mailed prior to the first session.
