Staying Safe With Your Computer and Phone
This Study Group will be online
Two fun and productive sessions to help you put an end to your computer and smartphone fears and enjoy your technology more. During the first session, we will examine how to browse the internet safely, avoid being tracked by advertisers, and stop malware dead in its tracks.
During the second session, we will focus on how to get all of your passwords under control and improve password security. We’ll also take a look at the latest computer and phone scams that plague our society and how to avoid them.
A long-time technology educator, study group leader Jim Keen holds a B.A. (communications) and an M.A. (educational studies) from the University of Michigan. He currently owns and operates Keen Focus Technology Tutoring.
This study group will meet on Wednesdays on September 22 and September 29. Preregistration is required via the OLLI website or phone. A link to access the study group will be e-mailed prior to the first session.
