Free Writing your Medical Story
This Study Group will be online
Have you ever received a medical diagnosis that redefined your life? Perhaps you were staring intently at scans or maybe only listening to the sound of your doctor’s voice, but in that split second, your reality changed.
Some of us became patients and others, caregivers, as the diagnosis took its place in our lives. We carry these stories in our hearts. This workshop, led by Instructor Diane Nash, provides an opportunity to construct a narrative from a collection of memories. It is not a support group. It is a writing workshop designed to help you reflect on and write about your experience. Through extemporaneous writings you will craft the story of the time illness entered your life.
This study group will meet on Wednesdays for four weeks beginning on October 13. Preregistration is required via the OLLI website or phone. A link to access the study group will be e-mailed prior to the first session.
