Moderator:
Hao Truong: Hao leads DEI efforts across engineering. Prior to her DEI work, she supported the Eats Marketplace, Courier, Eats Data Solution, and Ads engineering teams. Before joining Eats, she also led engineering for Uber for Business. Hao has been at Uber for 7+ years and had spent the 5 years prior working in early stage startups.

Panelists:
Wei Kong: Wei joined Uber's Infrastructure org about 3 years ago. She managed a team working on Crane -- Uber's next-gen tri-pod infrastructure for the first two years. Currently, she manages the Go team working on both Go Framework (fx, Glue, CFF2, etc) and Go runtime(build, monorepo, IDE, etc). Prior to Uber, Wei worked for various startups including one of her own.

Ker Lee Yap: Ker Lee is a senior software engineer at Uber, ex-Intuit engineer and Caltech alumna. For the past 2 years, she's been based out of SF and developing front end web technologies on the Uber Transit team. Uber Transit enables subsidized rides for paratransit riders, COVID relief and other efforts in partnership with public transit agencies.

Erin Gallagher: Erin is a founding engineering member of the Uber Eats Ads team where she does both iOS and Backend development. Previously at Uber, Erin led the development and launch of Uber Grocery on iOS and placed the first order in Toronto. In 2019, Erin was named one of Betakit's top 30 under 30 developers in Canada. She holds a Bachelor’s of Computing, specializing in Software Design, from Queen’s University.

Prior to joining Uber in June 2021, Kasey led campus recruiting efforts and the Diversity and Inclusion Campus Engagement Initiative at CNA, a federally-funded research and development center based in Arlington, VA.
