Consider Optometry!  Doctors of Optometry serve as the primary caregivers for the ocular health of their patients. In addition to prescribing glasses, Optometrists also deal with monitoring and treating ocular disease, cataracts, and infections of the eye. In some states they are even licensed to perform injections and corrective laser surgery or LASIK.
