This is a two-hour event dedicated to understanding the requirements and materials needed for a successful application to our Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows (SURF-REU) program and similar opportunities during the academic year. The first hour will feature a panel of former SURF interns who will provide tips on how to craft your SURF application and advice on how to have a successful internship. Graduate student mentors will discuss their experience mentoring interns. Graduate Office representatives will be available at the end to respond to questions about the application submission and the program expectations and requirements.
