Ready for career fair season this spring? Career fairs remain an important part of your undergraduate journey at LSA because they’re a one-stop destination to discovering potential career paths, organizations you might be interested in, and emerging industry trends that can impact your future. More importantly, they give you direct access to recruiters eager to hire emerging professionals and LSA degree holders like yourself.

If you’re planning to attend a career fair this year (Read on to find out why you should consider attending), join the LSA Opportunity Hub for a live and interactive virtual workshop led by Hub coach that provides a space for questions on how to best prepare for a career fair, interact with recruiters, and follow up with the valuable connections you are sure to make after the career fair. You’ll walk away with a sense of how to best utilize your time before, during, and after the event.

You should attend this workshop if you are:
-A liberal arts and/or sciences (LSA) student
-Planning on attending an upcoming career fair
-Eager to learn how to strategically develop intentional questions that can drive meaningful conversations with recruiters
-Looking for ways to build sustainable, professional connections with recruiters and organizations you hope to work with

What you’ll gain by attending:
-Adopt and learn new methods for preparing for the upcoming virtual career fairs.
-Develop an effective elevator pitch that can be used to initiate conversations with recruiters.
-Identify effective ways of communicating your experiences and skills during conversations with recruiters.
-Build strategies for maintaining recruiter connections that extend beyond the career fair
-Get access to an online career fair prep learning resource that is a supplementary source of guidance and information.

Interaction Level: Moderate
Video and audio presence is preferred
The event will be a mixture of interactive activities and passive viewing
NOTE: Students who cannot participate as recommended are still encouraged to attend
