Presented By: Planetarium & Dome Theater at the Museum of Natural History
Did an Asteroid Really Kill the Dinosaurs?
Did a space rock six miles wide slam into the Earth 66 million years ago and wipe out 75 percent of all living species at that time, including the dinosaurs? Explore this impact and cosmic collisions across the Solar System in this dynamic show. Includes footage from the first iridium layer found in Gubbio, Italy. Includes an abbreviated star talk.
The state-of-the-art Planetarium & Dome Theater at the U-M Museum of Natural History transports visitors beyond distant stars and deep into the ocean from the comfort of reclining seats. Tickets $8. Tickets are available on the day of the show at the Museum Store.
The planetarium is operating at less than 50% capacity to maximize distancing between viewers. As with all University of Michigan buildings, masks are required.
