Magic in Some Shakespeare Plays
This Study Group will be online.
This Study Group explores Shakespeare's use of magic in his plays by focusing on "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Macbeth" and "The Tempest". OLLI Study Group Leader Robert Lamphear guides the examination of the supernatural in Shakespeare's work with these plays as a framework for discussion.
Students will better understand Shakespeare's occult investigations through his plays and their appeal to his audiences, then and now. Both novices and scholars of Shakespeare are welcome. This study group will meet Wednesdays beginning March 2 through March 23.
Pre-registration is required via the OLLI website or phone. A link to access the study group will be e-mailed to you approximately one week prior to the first session.
