Do you have a passion for analytics and a love for sports? Do you and your classmates have the desire to work with data to solve multi-million dollar retail challenges?

DICK’S Sporting Goods in partnershipwith Pitt Business, is excited to host the 5th annual PITT Business Analytics Case Competition on Friday, April 8th...VIRTUALLY! This year, the stakes are higher and the challenge is tougher but the reward is sweeter!

The competition requires a short application process and 2 rounds of competition. The first round will include a resume submission and a preliminary round of case questions. The final round consists of the best of the best; the top 8 teams from schools across the country will be tasked to solve a real-world business case developed by the teammates at DICK’S Sporting Goods.

We are looking for you to challenge yourselves and use your analytics techniques to solve pressing issues in the retail space and to provide recommendations to a panel of experts from DICK’S Sporting Goods.

• Teams will consist of 4 students (with 1 alternate) all from the
same university.
• Teams must consist of undergraduate business students
currently enrolled in a business program.
• First Place= $3,000, Second Place= $2,000, and Third Place =
$1,000.
• There is a registration fee of $50 per team if selected to
compete. All proceeds go to DICK’S Sporting Goods’ Foundation
to support the Sports Matter Campaign
• Final round teams will be notified the week of March 7th
