M-STEM Academies is a joint program between the College of Engineering and the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. Our mission is to strengthen and diversify students who receive their bachelors’ degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to eventually increase the number of diverse individuals within the STEM workforce. We do this by working to support M-STEM students in their transition from high school to college and during their first two years at the University of Michigan.

The M-STEM Academies are available to incoming first-year students who are interested in STEM.

Interested in learning more about the M-STEM Academies before applying? We will be hosting an information session on Saturday, February 19th from 1-2:30PM in 165 Chrysler Center – North Campus. This Information Session can be attended in-person or via Zoom synchronously. We will also be recording and posting this session for viewing by those who are unable to attend or view at that time. During this session you will be able to learn more about the program benefits and requirements as well as meet some of our M-STEM staff and faculty and current M-STEM scholars.
