This show features students and faculty from the Department of Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation at the U-M. Chilean jazz saxophonist Melissa Aldana, whom JazzTimes has praised for "savvy subversions of jazz's modern mainstream," is special guest. Aldana's 2019 album "Visions" took artist Frida Kahlo as a theme, and received a Grammy nomination for Best Improvised Jazz Solo.
