Pro Football Hall of Fame "Before the Snap" ft. Eric Welshenbaugh
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is proud to offer a series for learners in high school, college and beyond! “Before the Snap” gives an insight to professional careers in and around the NFL, while giving a live audience the opportunity to interact with an industry expert. On Friday, February 25th, 2022 at 12:00pm ET special guest Eric Welshenbaugh will be on hand to speak on his career, what he does in his current positionand much more!!
Just like the NFL, Eric Welshenbaugh was born in Canton, Ohio. He is lucky enough to be the Executive Producer of HOF Productions. He is on a team that has produced several big live events such as ourMerlin Olsen Super Bowl Luncheon, the former State of the Hall, Sponsor-driven programming such as Centene's Strong Youth Strong Communities or Johnson Controls chalk talks or recaps of Enshrinement Week. He also has been lucky enough to interview or edit interviews of Hall of Famers, NFL Legends and some other celebrities. Welshenbaugh went to the University of Dayton and studied Visual Communication Design. Learning how to tell stories on a canvas or just one piece of paper challenged him to constantly think outside of the box. He started as a graphic designer in advertising for the Hall in 2015 but stepped into a couple of positions editing videos forGeorge Veras, who is an 11-time Emmy winner for CBS & NBC, as well as traveling the world with musician Yanni. These roles propelled Welshenbaughinto places he didn't think were possible, such as producing Youth & H.S. All American football as well as World TeamTennis on CBS Sports, and most recently getting to be a producer for the Summer Olympics on the show Tokyo Tonight with Kenny Mayne and Cari Champion on Peacock.
