Join SGT on February 24th from 5:00-6:30 pm in 1008 FXB for a seminar and lab tour given by Dr. Gamba! Dr. Gamba is a Professor of Aerospace Engineering and head of the Gas Dynamics Imaging Lab. His research focuses on laser diagnostics for fluid and reacting flows, low and high-speed mixing, and combustion. In this presentation, he will discuss how we can leverage the basic concepts we all learn in an undergraduate curriculum in aerospace engineering to deliver new technologies. Starting from basic concepts, we will develop new processes that are grounded in basic science, but promise to revolutionize our field. This can be a journey that all of us may one day be able to take: all successful ideas start on the back of a paper napkin, and if grounded in the basic principles, can develop into extraordinary machines.
