Alum Connection: Victoria M. Lucas, Black Business Owner of Aromatherapy brand, The Ivy Sap
LSA Alum, Victoria Lucas is an entrepreneur, current nursing student (OU ABSN), and a testament for how-to adapt in an environment of shifting priorities. Prior to the pandemic, Victoria (B.S. in Biology and International Studies – GEH ’20) aspired to become an MD, but during quarantine she re-focused her contribution in healthcare by launching a business, The Ivy Sap: an eco-conscious aromatherapy solution that provides mental and behavioral health resources for historically, underserved communities throughout Oakland County, MI. She recently expanded her business endeavors into local K-12 schools, and colleges in Michigan, to assist students who struggle with anxiety, agitation, low self-esteem, and stress in order to re-invigorate their sense of purpose and belonging. Join Victoria for an authentic conversation about overcoming mental, spiritual, and physical barriers that exist to press forward for business success and community impact.
