Diversity Connect supports the professional interests and growth of talented African American, Black, Hispanic, Latino, and Native American students who are pursuing a PhD, post-doctorate, MD,or JD degree.
At McKinsey, we believe a diverse, inclusive culture enriches our creativity, innovation, and problem-solving abilities. We are excited to meet diverse Advanced Professional Degree (APD) candidates who strive for meaningful change at our Diversity Connect event.
Diversity Connect was created to meet and support the professional interests and growth of talented African American, Black, Hispanic, Latino, and Native American students who are pursuing a PhD, post-doctorate, MD, or JD degree.
The two-day program includes an overview of management consulting and McKinsey today, small, interactive case workshops, activities to sharpen your interview skills, and engaging social activities as well as exciting panels and speakers.
We hope you’ll join us for this opportunity to learn about consulting and McKinsey and connect with your APD peers alongside a group of inspiring McKinsey professionals.
We will cover expenses to and from the event and one night at a hotel, if you are not local to the Washington, DC area.
Who is eligible?
Successful applicants will have strong academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and proven leadership ability. We are looking for students who are accomplished and well-rounded with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
To apply for the Diversity Connect event, you are:
- a candidate who identifiesas African American, Black, Hispanic, Latino, or Native American
- astudent in a US-based program who resides in the United States at the time of the event
- set to receive your PhD, post-doctorate degree, MD, or JD degree by 2023
Graduate programs include:
medical students, interns, residents, and fellows who plan to complete their program in 2023
PhD and post-doctorate students who plan to complete their program in 2023
master’s students who previously obtained an MD and plan to complete their master's degree in 2023
Eligible candidates may apply to both the Diversity Connect and Insight events. If selected, you may only attend one program. You will be asked to specify which program you are most interested in attending in this application.
If you do not identify as African American, Black, Hispanic, Latino, or Native American, but you meet the other eligibility criteria for this event and are from a STEM or healthcare background, we invite you to apply to our Insight program.
