Opportunities for Engineering Graduates in Science & Technology Policy—How Engineers Can Make a National Impact

Should governments regulate potentially transformative emerging technology, such as algorithmic decision-making systems, and if so, how? Can we do better science, and develop better technologies, to ensure social benefit? What role should engineers play to engage the public and policymakers? Molly Kleinman, Managing Director of the Science, Technology and Public Policy program at the Ford School of Public Policy, will discuss opportunities for engineering students to learn about and engage with a range of policy issues.
