Abstract
Inflammation has been associated with declines in certain functions, such as grip strength ability, particularly as people progress through the midlife. CRP (C-reactive protein) is an inflammatory biomarker that has been associated with predicting grip strength in individuals. I present a statistical framework that jointly models the means and variances of individual CRP trajectories, and uses these estimates to predict grip strength trajectories in midlife women.
