Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program Info Session (PublicHealth and Social Work Focus)

Are you an advanced degree student or recent alum who is interested in working in government but unsure where to start? If so, we invite you to come learn about the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program, the Federal Government's premier leadership development program for advanced degree holders (Masters, PhD, JD). The PMF Program is looking foreligible students like you with backgrounds in Public Health and Social Work to apply for this unique opportunity to launch your career in government, and we invite you to join us for a 1-hour info session on 5/6 hosted by the PMF Program Office.

This info session will provide an overview of the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program, general details about the upcoming application cycle (launching in the fall), and a chance tohear from PMF Alumni (with Public Health, Social Work, and related backgrounds) about their experiences in the program. There will also be time for questions toward the end of the session. This session is open to graduate students (and recent grads) across all academic disciplines, and will have a specific focus on what the PMF experience looks like for fellows with backgrounds in Public Health, Social Work, and related degrees. Upon registering for this session, you will receive an automated email from Zoom with details for accessing the meeting.

The PMF Program is a two-year fellowship at a Federal agency with full salary and benefits leading to a career in the Federal Government. Individuals who are in the final year of their advanced degree program or who have finished their advanced degree within the last two years are eligible to apply. The program works with over 100 Federal agencies (such as HHS, USDA, HUD, the State Department, and many more) to place Fellows according to their interests and skills. By drawing graduate students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, the PMF Program provides a continuing source of trained individuals tomeet the future challenges of public service and deliver for the Americanpeople. IMPORTANT NOTE ON ELIGIBILITY: From the time of the application launch in fall 2022, individuals who are in thefinal year of their advanced degree program or who have finished their advanced degree within the last two years are eligible to apply. For the next PMF application, this would likely mean individuals who have completed an advanced degree or expect to complete an advanced degree between 10/2020 to 8/31/2023.
