Harriet Nembhard, Dean of Engineering at the University of Iowa
Nembhard's talk "Leading with Courage" will address why courage is needed in engineering and will call for connecting to fundamental values and beliefs to bring about positive change. It will focus on providing space for you to explore your leadership archetype as well as the language you can use to lead with courage based on that archetype.

Bio: Harriet B. Nembhard is dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Iowa and holds the Roy J. Carver Professorship in Engineering. Her research takes a multidisciplinary approach to improve complex systems across manufacturing and health care, and she advocates for equity and inclusion in STEM education.
