Prior to Ross, she worked in innovating financing for the Clinton Health Access Initiative’s (CHAI) Global Markets Team where she supported the development of CHAI’s diabetes strategy in Egypt and South Africa and helped scope deal opportunities in partnership with MedAccess, a DFID-backed not-for-profit investment fund. Previously, Mel worked in business development for Boston Consulting Group’s healthcare and private equity practice areas and was a consultant with the UN World Food Programme based in Johannesburg where she worked cross-functionally with donor relations, government partnerships, and program/nutrition teams across the Southern Africa region.

Mel holds a BA in International Studies and African Studies from the University of Michigan and will graduate a double-Wolverine in spring 2023.
