Based on the true story of a young German Jew, Solomon Perel, who survived the Holocaust by joining the Hitler Youth. After his sister is killed, Solomon flees with his family to Soviet-occupied Poland. When the Nazis invade, Solomon is taken for a German hero and sent to the elite Hitler Youth Academy, but he lives in constant fear that his secret will be discovered.
