40th Annual Ann Arbor Bonsai Show

This year's show is a tribute to Jack Wikle and Bill Heston for their contributions to the Society and for their lifelong pursuit of the art and practice of bonsai. Also featured is a showing of AABS members’ trees, with over 100 beautiful trees on display in all sizes and representing several species. Includes workshops and demonstrations, and vendors. Plus, visitors may vote in the People’s Choice for their favorite bonsai selections from different categories.
Sponsors of the show, the U-M Matthaei Botanical Gardens & Nichols Arboretum, are also offering free staff-led tours of the site of the new bonsai and penjing garden being built at Matthaei Botanical Gardens. Tours are at 11 am and 1 pm Sat., Aug. 25; 1 pm Sun., Aug. 26.
