How does this Sociology major end up in Tech? Armin Moaddel (‘12) has been entrepreneurial his entire life and was drawn to the fast pace and innovative environment that the tech industry offers. Coming to Michigan as a transfer student, Armin quickly got to building community while also prioritizing his wellbeing. The skills he learned from transitioning to a new school, fostering connections, and coming up with innovative solutions naturally landed him a breakthrough role in tech. Following graduation, he went on to quickly climb the corporate ladder at Adobe and then Zoom, where he currently serves as a Market Readiness Leader. Armin is joining the Hub to talk with students about working in tech, identifying leadership opportunities, climbing the corporate ladder, and maintaining balance and mental wellness through it all.

About Armin:
Armin serves as the Market Readiness Leader for International Sales Strategy and Operations at Zoom where he is responsible for Zoom's readiness, entry, and expansion in international emerging markets where Zoom is gaining traction and is investing special attention to maintain growth. The Market Readiness team is responsible for the build and scale of the go-to-market plans and operations that help drive market growth so that ultimately, markets graduate from the "emerging" stage.
