The annual Security at University of Michigan IT (SUMIT) symposium is designed to raise awareness and educate the community about important cyber security and privacy issues. This free event is hosted every October during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and presents a rare opportunity to hear nationally recognized experts discuss the latest cyber security and privacy topics and trends.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Join us for a special SUMIT Reimagined keynote: Adventures in Securing At-Risk People. We will hear from Runa Sandvik, who founded Granitt, a venture to focus on security for journalists and at-risk people around the world. A conversation following the presentation will be facilitated by Elodie Vialle, fellow at the Institute for Rebooting Social Media at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University.
