Hand Papermaking & Sustainability in Art/Craft Practice
Artist Andrea Peterson talks about papermaking, sustainability, and relationships with the environment.

Andrea Peterson, from Hook Pottery Paper and School of the Art Institute of Chicago, is an artist, hand papermaker, and farmer who’s work revolves around sustainability within art/craft practice, locally grown/sourced fibers, and human relationships to the environment.
All are invited to this lecture that is part of a Book Arts class offered through the Stamps School of Art & Design.
Peterson is an internationally exhibiting artist and educator. Her work explores all types of paper fibers and processes and includes paper works, prints, artist books, and environmental installation pieces. She combines paper arts, printmaking and book arts to make works that address human relationship to the environment. She received her BFA at School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MFA in printmaking from U of MN in Minneapolis.
