Title: Twisted linear periods and a new relative trace formula

Abstract: We study the linear periods on GL2n twisted by a character. When the character is trivial, Guo and Jacquet proposed a relative trace formula approach in the mid 90s. This trace formula however cannot be extended to the case with a nontrivial character. We propose a new trace formula to attack this general case. This is joint work with Wei Zhang.
