This fiber art exhibition features hand-embroidered portraits by writer, educator, and fiber artist Fatema Haque. Sourced from photos submitted by Bangladeshi Michiganders, these intricate portraits capture the immigration and settlement journeys of multiple generations of Bangladeshi Americans. The art is further contextualized through oral history interviews conducted by Haque, and documents the growth and evolution of this vibrant community.

Join us for an opening reception on November 30, 6-8pm.
