Intended Audience: The session is aimed primarily at engineering and computer science students interested in Master’s and PhD programs in engineering and computer science. However, those interested in finance may be interested in our MS in Financial Engineering; our Astronautical Engineering department actively recruits physics students, those with an interest in data science who have taken at least a statistics course may be interested in one of our many MS in Data Science programs.
Description: Interested in graduate programs in engineering or CS? Please come to our information session. The university of Southern California’s graduate engineering/CS program is consistently well ranked with 13 PhD programs and over 60 Master’s programs. Our MS programs cover a wide range of specializations including: Dynamics & Control, Biomedical Data Analytics, Transportation Engineering and Quantum Information Science.
The session will begin with “Why Grad School?” A short, non-school specific presentation that covers why a student might want to consider grad school, the differences between types of graduate programs, what factors to consider and how to prepare for grad school. This is followed by a presentation on the graduate school opportunities in engineering and CS at USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering.
