AIM Seminar: Small dispersion asymptotics of Benjamin-Ono soliton ensembles

Elliot Blackstone, University of Michigan

Abstract: The Benjamin-Ono equation is a nonlinear, nonlocal PDE that, roughly speaking, is a model for waves along the interface of two fluids. We discuss some recent results on asymptotics of soliton solutions to the Benjamin-Ono equation and mention a new explicit formula of P. GĂ©rard, along with some implications.
