Geometry of polynomial representations

A GL-variety is an infinite dimensional variety on which the infinite general linear group acts, subject to some conditions. Draisma proved that GL-varieties are noetherian, and Alessandro recently spoke on work concerning the singular locus of a GL-variety. I'll talk on joint work with Bik, Draisma, and Eggermont that establishes some structural results for GL-varieties.
