Student Analysis: An Introduction to Vorticity and Incompressible Flow

In this talk, I will introduce the concept of vorticity and discuss its central role in the behavior of incompressible fluids, focusing in particular on the role of the Lagrangian viewpoint. Time permitting, we will discuss some well posedness results, including the theorem of Beale-Kato-Majda.
