Have you ever wondered how archaeologists learn about the lives of ancient people? And what does it mean to be a “Museum of Archaeology”? While movies and TV shows often show archaeologists searching for mummies and huge golden artifacts, is that what archaeology is all about? In this tour, we will look at artifacts including ancient writing tablets, foods, and household goods to better understand how archaeologists use such objects, in combination with context, to better understand the lives of people in the ancient world.

This event is free and open to all visitors. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessing this event, please visit our accessibility page at https://myumi.ch/zwPkd or contact the education office by calling (734) 647-4167. We ask for advance notice as some accommodations may require more time for the university to arrange.
