Nick Gaspar serves as the Director of Online and Digital Education at the University of Michigan-Flint, where he brings together strategic thinking and a love for educational innovation. Since joining U-M Flint in 2003, Nick and his team has played a crucial role in leading the Flint campus through significant changes in the educational field.
His approach to leadership encompasses managing change effectively, enhancing accessibility, and maintaining financial wisdom, all of which help keep the university adaptable in the ever-changing world of higher education. Notably, Nick's effective management during the shift to fully remote learning amidst COVID-19 lock downs, as well as the transition from Blackboard to Canvas, highlight his commitment to maintaining high-quality education for our community.
Nick, who earned both his BS in Computer Science and an MBA from U-M Flint, leverages his deep understanding of the institution and a pragmatic approach in his work. His academic background and hands-on style bring valuable perspectives that drive the university forward. Nick is dedicated to lifting the institution to new heights to effectively serve our community.
