Mukai's seminal work proved that the "convolution" with the Poincaré line bundle induces an equivalence of the derived categories of an abelian variety and its dual variety. This equivalence specializes to rational Chow groups of these varieties are isomorphic. We will exploit this structure to exhibit that the rational Chow ring of an abelian variety has an interesting decomposition called the Beauville decomposition.
