GLNT: p-adic Deligne-Lusztig spaces

Alexander Ivanov (Bochum)

Abstract: First I recall the classical Deligne--Lusztig theory for reductive groups over finite fields. Then I explain the definition and some geometric properties of p-adic Deligne--Lusztig spaces, which generalize the classical ones to the setup of p-adic groups. I will explain how these spaces allow to interpret some representation-theoretic phenomena geometrically.
