We’re excited to invite you to the OCCE Student Welcome event at the newly refurbished North Campus Student Culture Lounge (SCL), located in the Engineering Research Building (ERB) 1 lobby. This event is the perfect opportunity to kick off the new academic year and connect with fellow students.

Join us for an evening of fun outdoor activities, and enjoy delicious free food provided by local favorites, the Detroit BBQ Company and Motor City Sweet Treats. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, catch up with friends or simply relax, this event has something for everyone.

What’s the SCL? OCCE is in the process of reimagining this space to better serve our Michigan Engineering community, particularly with our marginalized students and student organizations. The vision of the SCL will be to provide a space where students can foster a sense of belonging while connecting with peers, collaborating on projects and engaging with partners from across campus. Members from OCCE and MI-LSAMP will be permanently located in the SCL to provide opportunities for resources and support tailored to our students.
