Note: this is an in-person event on the Ann Arbor Campus.
Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (2022) overturned decades of precedent set by Roe v. Wade (1973), ending federal protection to abortion access across the United States and returning the power to regulate abortion to the states. Since the Dobbs Decision, some states have banned abortion entirely or enacted bans that start after a certain number of weeks. Meanwhile, other states have passed ballot initiatives or legislation to protect access to abortion. Several states will have ballot initiatives relating to abortion during the 2024 general election.
Join Turn Up Turnout after our general meeting (5:00 pm in Weill Hall Room 1110) for a nonpartisan, educational presentation to learn about the history and current state of The Politics of Abortion in the United States. FREE FOOD provided.
