Abstract: I will describe several ongoing projects aimed at studying Hecke algebras in the Langlands Program via geometric methods. This includes versions of the geometric Satake equivalence for integral motives and for mod p sheaves. Along the way I will describe new results about the F-singularities of affine Schubert varieties. This talk is aimed at a general mathematical audience.
