Professor Susan Kevra (Vanderbilt University) has traveled throughout France learning about the country’s diverse dance cultures – from Brittany to Auvergne and Gascogny. Many of these dances date back centuries but have seen a groundswell of popularity in recent years. Come learn about these dances, see footage from dance festivals and join in to sing and dance (if you’d like) with Susan Kevra (singer and clarinetist) and her bandmate, Rachel Bell (accordion).
