Enjoy an opportunity to hear and play a newly-invented instrument – the xylopong table! Performers include xylopong inventor Professor Joseph Gascho. Multi-instrumentalist and composer Xiao Dong Wei will introduce and perform on one of her primary instruments, the two-stringed erhu, followed by a world premiere performance of a composition she has written for erhu* and xylopong. The extravaganza will conclude with a doubles table tennis tournament in which members of the audience can compete against the musicians and other SMTD professors.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required as space is limited. Free parking in lot NC84.
