Student Algebraic Geometry: K-trivial varieties

Hyunsuk Kim

It is believed that the world of projective varieties is built upon three pillars, depending on the positivity of the canonical bundle K. If K is negative or positive, they are called Fano, or canonically polarized, which people have some understanding of (ex, moduli). The monster lives there where K has no positivity nor negativity. We will investigate what kind of varieties we have in this world.
