Noon at Night presents Frequency of Grief, an experimental dinner theatre that explores how we can process both personal and collective grief through sound, food, and community.

During a three-hour performative workshop, on-site participants will silently assemble pockets of food (dumplings, pierogies, empanadas, etc.) while thirty virtual guests from around the world offer frequencies of grief (humming, singing, whistling, reading a poem, and sighing utterances) for two minutes each. The workshop will culminate in recording sounds of our communal grief in-person, eating the pockets of grief, and, as participants feel compelled, sharing their personal relationship to grief.

Join us on October 25, 2024, 5–8 pm at Canterbury House (721 E Huron St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104) or ONLINE with artists Fatemeh Afimoh Kazemi, dawn weleski, and participants looking to build a communal space for grief.

SPOTS ARE LIMITED; FILL OUT THE INTEREST FORM!
