Henry Talbott: How to Think About Teichmuller Space

Title: How to Think About Teichmuller Space

Abstract: In this talk, I will give an overview of some methods used to understand moduli spaces and Teichmuller spaces of hyperbolic surfaces. In particular, I will talk about Fenchel-Nielsen coordinates and the Weil-Petersson form. Depending on interest, I will also talk about topological recursion theory or the Teichmuller metric.
