DRACULA is an interdisciplinary physical dance theater creation exploring Bram Stoker's life, Irish history, Romanian folklore, and the evolution of vampire mythology. Created in VIM VIGOR's signature aesthetic, blending robust physicality with daring theatrical and emotional expression, this work examines Dracula's insatiable hunger as a reflection of modern loneliness. It also addresses the intersection of horror and gender, depicting how the genre eroticizes and consumes the female body. Set against an original sound score by Marshall Chadbourne, DRACULA captures the essence of human storytelling and the monsters we create to navigate our lives.

DRACULA features choreography and performances by Shannon Gillen, Jason Cianciulli, Tzveta Kassabova, Katherine Kiessling, Lauren Roebuck and Claire Schick. The work is set against an original sound score by Marshall Chadbourne with live music by Shamus Gillen.

This work will premiere at the Arthur Miller Theatre in Michigan before touring to Germany to be presented at dock 11 at the b12 Festival in Berlin, July 2025.
