Resonant Soundscapes

Carillon, Organ & Electronics Series

Resonant Soundscapes Resonant Soundscapes
Resonant Soundscapes
Garrett Schumann, Sara Tea, and Julie Zhu invite the community to reflect in a wash of electronic and acoustic sound at the second and final event of the Resonant Soundscapes performance series on the afternoon of Sunday, November 10. This performance takes place at 2:00 pm at Blanche Anderson Moore Recital Hall within the Earl V. Moore Building on North Campus.

The program features a live sound bath performed by Tea and organist Latimer Rogland, the world premiere presentation of Schumann's fixed media electronics composition Condemned to a Shallow Weath, and Rogland's world premiere performance of a new organ work by Zhu.

Like the first performance in the Resonant Soundscapes series, this presentation blends electronic and acoustic textures to emphasize the meaningful resonances that emerge between individuals and the space they occupy.

The Resonant Soundscapes performance series is supported by the University of Michigan Arts Initiative and the Ann Arbor District Library. Free and open to the public.
