When envisioning iconic artifacts of the ancient world, perhaps red- and black-figure Greek pottery comes to mind for you. From the simple to the decorative, the everyday to the ceremonial, such vessels served numerous purposes in the lives of ancient Greeks—much like our own dishes in our cabinets at home. This drop-in tour explores the Greek pottery on display at the Kelsey, discussing how various pieces were made and what they represent.

This event is free and open to all visitors. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessing this event, please visit our accessibility page at https://myumi.ch/zwPkd or contact the education office by calling (734) 647-4167. We ask for advance notice as some accommodations may require more time for the university to arrange.
