Environmental Research Webinar Series, organized by the Integrated Health Sciences Core of M-LEEaD, the University of Michigan Lifestage Environmental Exposures and Disease Center.
Matthew Campen, PhD, MSPH, is a Distinguished Professor in the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy. He co-directs the UNM Clinical and Translational Science Center as well as an NIGMS-funded Center for Metals in Biology and Medicine. Dr. Campen received his PhD from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health and trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He has studied the systemic vascular toxicity of complex/diverse inhaled pollutants for most of his career. His lab has recently begun researching the human health impacts of micro- and nanoplastics as an emerging toxicant of global concern.
