Scope 3 Emissions Town Hall
The Scope 3 Emissions Project is nearing completion and we need your input on the draft recommendations and potential focus areas! Students, faculty, and staff are invited to an in-person or virtual town hall, where you will learn about the project’s findings, discuss how U-M can best implement the recommendations, and help prioritize strategies.
Scope 3 emissions are indirect greenhouse gas emissions created by activities like commuting, travel, purchasing, and waste disposal. Peer research shows that Scope 3 emissions can comprise roughly half of a university’s total emissions, so there is a growing impetus to address them.
The programming is equivalent at the in-person and virtual town halls, so please select the one that works best for you. A light lunch will be provided at the in-person event. Join us to help shape the future of sustainability on campus!
